MountainsMap® users can update their software online under certain conditions.

Versions of MountainsMap® are written as X.Y.Z.B:

• X is the number of the current software generation. Any change to this number signifies a major evolution of the software.
• Y is the number of the latest major evolution within the current generation.  Any change to this number signifies the release of a substantial set of new features.
• Z is the number of the latest minor evolution. Any change to this number signifies the release of a minor set of new features or of features that are only useful in certain contexts.
• B is the number of the latest build. Any change to this number signifies that the version only contains fixes and does not contain new features.

Users of versions of MountainsMap® older than v5.0 are strongly encouraged to upgrade to the latest version 6.0. Any technical support or bug fix will apply only on version 5.x. Versions 2.x and 3.x are now obsolete and are not supported anymore by Digital Surf.

Software updates for Mountains® products sold by manufacturers can only be obtained by users with a valid software maintenance contract.  Contact your supplier for information on update policy. Users of previous versions of MountainsMap® can buy version 6.0 at a privileged rate (consult us).
