Technical issues

If you encounter any technical problem, you may find a solution by reading the online help or the printed manual. You may also look at the Frequently Asked Questions on this web site. In any case, do not hesitate to contact us. In order to answer you, the Support Team will need the following information:

  • Clear description of the problem
  • Copy of the Trace file (see below) that will give us details about versions, serial numbers, operating system, ...
  • If needed, any file (measurement file, Mountains document, screen copy) that may be of any help to analyze the problem

How to find the Trace file?

Version 6.0 or 5.1

  • Go to Help menu > Support > Open the trace file
  • Save this file and send it as an attachment of your message

Versions before 5.1

  • Go the Help menu > About MountainsMap..., a dialog box is displayed
  • Hit the F5 key, a text file is displayed
  • Save this file and send it as an attachment of your message
