Intelligent documents based on analysis workflow
In Mountains®, analysis documents are intelligent. All analysis steps in the document are described in a hierarchical analysis workflow to assure full metrological traceability. Each step can be modified at any time. New steps can be added and existing steps can be deleted at any point in the workflow. Everything is recalculated automatically and dependencies between steps are respected.
Minidocs®
Predefined sequences of analysis steps known as Minidocs® can be saved into a library. They can be included in analysis documents to save time.
Automatic report generation
Once an analysis document for a given measurement data set is finished, it can be used as a template for analyzing other similar measurement data sets. You simply load a different measurement data set into the template document. The workflow in the document is automatically applied to the new data set. A full analysis report is generated instantly.
Automation in production environments
It is also possible to apply a template to all measurement data sets that are written into a specific folder. This means that quality reports on multiple data sets can be generated automatically in production environments. Reports can include pass/fail criteria set on any parameters. All parameters in a report can be automatically output in Excel csv/txt format for recovery by a factory system, for example a quality data management system.
Control from an external system
Mountains® can be driven by script files executed on an external system. For example, a script file can make Mountains® generate an analysis document every time that a measurement is completed.
