Mountains 6, Makalu 2010

Makalu summit

Digital Surf had Mountains in its genes!

Digital Surf's headquarters are in Besançon, a French hub for micro and nanotechnology, lying at the foot of the Jura Mountains. And so, quite naturally, Digital Surf had the genes to become the worldwide leader in analysis software for microscopic and nanoscopic mountains!

MountainsMap

For over twenty years, software based on Digital Surf's Mountains Technology has been a reference in the visualization and analysis of the very small. The name "Mountains" is the most natural choice for software that transforms almost infinitely small surface variations into mountains that are visible and can be measured.

Two teams united with a common goal: reaching the summit!

Fabulous and otherwise inaccessible mountains of the micro and nanoworld... made visible thanks to Digital Surf's Mountains Technology®. Beautiful and almost unreachable landscapes of the majestic Himalayas... made accessible by the tenacity of a team of excellence: Makalu 2010.

The infinitely small: a nanoscopic mountain,
altitude 84.70 nanometers

The infinitely large: Makalu,
altitude 8470 meters

84.70 nanometers, 8470 meters. The infinitely small and the infinitely large on the human scale - married as mountains – a feast for the eyes! The Himalayas are the roof of the world. Among the Himalayas, Makalu, is the most beautiful and presents the most technically challenging ascent for the Makalu 2010 expedition. Makalu 2010, Mountains 6, two teams united in a common goal – reaching the summit of supreme excellence – and meeting regularly to encourage each other in its mutual achievement.
